Things to Do
Tucked within the Marin County Open Space District lies the 193-acre Baltimore Canyon Preserve. Nestled in the foothills of Mount Tamalpais between Kentfield and Larkspur, this preserve is easy to get to and hosts one of the largest concentrations of coastal redwoods in the Bay Area. The shady and secluded canyon makes for an excellent area to rest and relax.
King Mountain Trail is one of Marin's best-kept secrets. At only four miles, this hike is relatively short and easy. Winding through the hills above Larkspur, you'll be able to see mountain and bay views, even the city on clear days. It's easy to follow, and as a bonus, not many people know about it, so you'll probably have it to yourself. Dawn Falls Trail is a great dog-friendly hike if you want to bring your furry friend along. It's an easy 2.2-mile stretch ideal for hiking that takes you to a cascading waterfall.
